Deputy involved in one of two I-80 crashes Near Gretna
Gretna, Nebraska – A series of accidents disrupted the flow of traffic on Interstate 80 near Gretna late Tuesday night.
Officials reported that the initial crash took place “just before 11 p.m.” when a vehicle rolled over in the eastbound lanes. This severe incident resulted in paramedics rushing one individual to the hospital, performing CPR en route.
Approximately an hour following the first incident, a second crash occurred involving a Sarpy County Sheriff’s deputy. This mishap took place in the westbound lanes of the interstate. Fortunately, “no injuries were reported in that crash.”
By 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the authorities had managed to clear the scene, and “all lanes of traffic reopened,” ensuring smooth traffic flow and safety for motorists.
