Sarpy County reports another year of strong growth and highlights progress in 2025 report

Papillion, Nebraska – Sarpy County closed out 2025 with another year of steady growth, marked by major investments in public safety, transportation, and resident services, all while keeping its tax levy unchanged. County leaders say the balance between expansion and financial stability continues to be a key focus as the area grows.

Officials highlighted improvements across several departments, pointing to long-term planning that supports both current residents and future needs. From road upgrades to public safety coverage, the county says its goal remains delivering strong services without placing added burden on taxpayers.

Public safety roads and resident services remain priorities

Sarpy County continued to invest heavily in infrastructure during 2025, including road projects that help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently. The county’s Public Works Department remains responsible for building, improving, and maintaining roads, as well as snow removal across roughly 1,300 county lane miles, ensuring year-round access for residents and emergency services.

Public safety also remained a central focus. The county sustained operations of its 24-hour, 365-day-a-year 911 center, providing nonstop emergency response for residents and first responders. In addition, Sarpy County expanded its law enforcement footprint, helping meet the needs of a growing population.

Resident services saw growth as well, particularly through the Clerk’s Office, which increased access to passport services. The office continues to be recognized for its friendly and efficient passport processing, making it easier for residents to apply for and receive travel documents locally.

Despite these investments, Sarpy County once again maintained its tax levy, a point leaders emphasized as proof of careful budgeting and responsible growth.
