Throughout his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, Smith wore many hats. Recently, he dedicated his efforts towards the Gretna Public Schools community as a school resource officer. He also served a significant portion of his career on Road Patrol and held the distinction of being an original member of the office’s B-Squad.
Before his association with SCSO, Smith showcased his commitment to service as a Nebraska State Patrol trooper. Moreover, his dedication to his country was evident as he served as a U.S. Marine.
Smith’s colleagues and those who knew him remember him fondly.
