Bellevue’s American Heroes Park to host family Bow Fishing event

Bellevue, Nebraska – The Bellevue community is invited to a unique family experience, Discover Bow Fishing, at Bellevue’s American Heroes Park on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

This event is coordinated by the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, who, in conjunction with experienced bow fishers, will be available to impart their wealth of knowledge on various facets of bow fishing. Attendees can anticipate gaining insights about suitable fishing locations, desirable species, guidelines, equipment requirements, and effective techniques.

The Discover Bow Fishing event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., aligning with Bellevue’s 2nd Community Fishing Night of the season. The purpose of this community initiative is to familiarize or reacquaint families and individuals with the joy of fishing. The Game and Parks staff, together with certified fishing instructors, will guide participants of all ages through the fundamentals of this enjoyable and leisurely pastime. As part of the event, complimentary instruction, loaner equipment, and bait will be readily accessible. Attendees are advised to look for the Family Fishing Trailer.
