Artificial intelligence experts to join Bellevue business leaders for in depth discussion on economic trends
Bellevue, Nebraska – The City of Bellevue is inviting residents, business owners, and community leaders to attend a free public event focused on the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in Nebraska and beyond. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the event will take place at the Beardmore Event Center in Bellevue.
Titled as an open discussion on the economic effects of AI, the gathering aims to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping local industries, workforce expectations, and long-term economic growth. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from local experts who will provide insights into how Bellevue and surrounding communities can take strategic steps to benefit from advancements in AI.
“We are at a turning point,” city organizers said in promoting the event. “Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant trend. It is here now and is redefining how we live, work, and do business. Understanding this shift is essential for economic success.”
The panel will feature two of the region’s most respected voices in economics and AI research:

Dr. Ernie Goss – An economist and Director of the Institute for Economic Inquiry at Creighton University, Dr. Goss specializes in regional economic forecasting and policy analysis. His expertise helps communities understand and prepare for economic change.

Dr. Zhigang Feng – A professor at the University of Nebraska Omaha, Dr. Feng is internationally recognized for his AI-driven computational research in macroeconomic modeling. He also focuses on national debt, healthcare policy, and long-term economic sustainability.
