Woman in stolen car arrested for hitting six, including two toddlers, in New York: cops
A woman was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly rolling a stolen car onto the sidewalk outside a funeral home in Upper Manhattan.
Dina Chimalha, 34, of Peekskill, lost control of a black Honda Accord she allegedly stole in Yonkers just after 6:00 pm on West 190th Street and Broadway in Fort George.
The car jumped over a curb and hit toddlers and four adults near RG Ortiz Funeral Home, authorities said.
Police said the little girls had bloody noses and bruised faces and were taken to the Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
Two women and one man suffered from neck and back pain and were taken to the same hospital.
Another woman was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside with a broken leg, police said.
All are said to be in stable condition, officials said.

According to the police, Simalha initially fled, but returned and was taken into custody.
She was charged with illegal possession of stolen property, aggravated by an unlicensed operator – due to license suspension – and was punished for driving without a license, police said.
Investigators believe Simalha was drunk prior to the crash, but was ultimately not charged with drunk driving, police said.
