Winter storm arriving in Lincoln at night
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Warnings are active through Thursday morning.
For more details on that prediction, check out the video above!
Winter storm warnings and winter weather warnings expire Thursday.
They run early Thursday mornings in southwest Nebraska, until noon in south central Nebraska, and until 6:00 pm on Thursdays in southeast Nebraska.
Most of this snow will fall south of Interstate 80, with most of it near the Kansas-Nebraska border.
Two to 4 inches are expected in and around Lincoln, then rapidly decreasing as you go further north.
The best chance for snow in the Lincoln area will be during the night, from midnight to 6am. Then it ends in the morning.
The wind will be a problem, especially for those who see the snow.
Wind gusts greater than 30 mph will be possible, blowing around the falling snow.
Travel will become difficult in these areas.
Those highlighted above in orange and red will see the most impact from this winter storm. This is generally south of the highway.
