Windows 11 is getting its first major update
Windows 11 has started receiving its first major update in the form of the Windows 11 2022 Update.
With Windows 11, Microsoft decided to switch to an annual release of updates, which means that it does not have to specify in which half of the year the update is released, as was the case with previous versions of Windows.
Windows 11 was released over a year ago, and the 2022 update brings a number of new features.

Microsoft emphasizes that the goal of Windows 11 is to offer a simplified experience that makes the user more productive. So the new version of Windows includes better touch navigation for Snap Layouts, the ability to add more tabs to the Edge browser, Focus sessions and the Do Not Disturb feature.
The company claims that Windows 11 2022 Update offers faster Search, a better Start menu experience, different widgets and accessibility improvements.
In addition, the latest update is also touted as the ultimate for content creators and gamers, thanks to the fact that it comes bundled with Clipchamp, a new tool called Windows Studio Effects, and a number of gaming improvements.
Microsoft continues support for Android apps in Windows 11. The Amazon Appstore experience powered by the Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) is now expanding to 31 new countries and will feature a catalog of 20,000 Android apps and games.
I would highly recommend moving to Windows 11 2022 Update for gaming PCs. Microsoft has made some great latency improvements for windowed DX10 and DX11 games + VRR / auto HDR support. There’s even a new Xbox controller bar https://t.co/LXtPLzc8wO pic.twitter.com/yAsRsbVrEY

Like previous Windows updates, the 2022 Update will arrive in waves and phases to eligible users and will appear in the Windows Update section.
