LINCOLN, Nebraska – This weekend, there are a few activities you may attend in Lincoln.

Fall Parade Of Homes

The Parade of Houses is an excellent chance for prospective homebuyers to see brand-new homes and meet the builders. The Fall Parade of Homes began on October 2 and will end on October 9. The residences will be open from 6 to 8 pm during the week and from 1 to 6 pm on weekends. Visit their website for a complete list of available houses.

SeussOdyssey is presented by the Lincoln High School Theatre.

The Odyssey of Homer is rendered in the style of Dr. Seuss. Complete with a Cyclops (“Oh, the sights you can see with one eye!”), teddy bears acted out the killing of the suitors, and the sorceress Circe served crew members green eggs. The SeussOdyssey is a fast-paced and funny retelling of the classic epic.

Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.; Tickets begin at $5.

Deer Spring Winery Celebrates 15 Years with a Party

Deer Springs Winery is thrilled to celebrate this momentous occasion and hopes you may join them this weekend. There are events all weekend. Check out their website for an event schedule.

Family Fun Oktoberfest

Join American Historical Society of Germans from Russia for a fun-filled Oktoberfest for the whole family. There will be complimentary beverages and snacks, including Runza runzas. German-Russian games, an open house, and a bounce house are among the activities!

Second Annual Lincoln Touch a Truck Event hosted by AAA

A State Patrol Squad, Lincoln Police Department Vehicles, Fire Truck, AAA Tow Truck, Ghostbusters Nebraska, 10/11 News Weather Vehicle, and others will bring vehicles. This event is family-friendly, open to the public, and entrance is free. The event will take place regardless of the weather, so prepare accordingly. In addition to items related to road safety, there will be photo opportunities and a toy car up for grabs in a raffle.
