OMAHA, Nebraska – The West Nile Virus was discovered in a second mosquito pool in the region by officials from the Three Rivers Public Health Department.
According to the statement, the mosquito pool was reported to be located within Dodge County near Fremont. This is comparable to the initial incidence that was reported on August 11.
“Knowing now we have two positive pools serves as a reminder for all residents that the virus is present and to be consistent in protecting yourself and your family from mosquito bites.”
This year, according to the officials, they have begun collecting mosquitos in order to test them for the virus. At the health department in Fremont, which is situated at 2400 N. Lincoln Ave, residents in Dodge, Washington, and Saunders County can pick up free mosquito wipes and mosquito dunks to use in their homes.
