Weekend Forecast: Seasonally cool with a chance of rain and snow
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska). Rain and seasonally low temperatures are again possible this weekend. The best chance of rain will be from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning.
On Saturday around 10:11 a.m., precipitation and a combination of temperatures close to average and below average are possible. Highs will peak in the 40 to 50 year range across the state. It will be coolest in the northwestern half of the state (40 degrees) and warmest in the southeastern half (50 degrees). The lows cover the range from 20 to 30.

In terms of precipitation chances, rain, snow and winter mixture will move west in the morning and spread east along the I-80 corridor into the evening and eventually into the night. The western and central regions are likely to experience snow and winter mix during the day, while the eastern regions will see mostly rain. In addition to rain, isolated thunderstorms are possible in the east. Precipitation will continue to move eastward during the night and will mostly shift to a winter mix and snow. In general, any accumulation of snow should be light from track to inch, but there may be a few isolated spots in the west that end in 2″ or 3″.

Most of the chance of precipitation, mostly snow, should have passed by Sunday morning. However, occasional light showers or light snow are possible throughout most of the state in the afternoon and evening. In general, Sunday will be partly or mostly cloudy with much cooler weather. High temperatures reached only 30 to 40 degrees.
