Weatherford girl and her father have been hospitalized with gun shot wounds, the girl and her friend planned to kill their families

WEATHERFORD, Texas – A 12-year-old Weatherford girl and her father were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after, according to sheriff’s deputies, the girl conspired with a friend to murder their families for weeks.

Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier reports that deputies were dispatched to a shooting in which a 12-year-old girl was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head and her 38-year-old father was found shot in the abdomen inside the home.

Investigators suspect the teenager shot and killed her father before fleeing the scene and shooting herself.

The girl and her father were taken to the hospital via helicopter. Their conditions are currently unclear.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office eventually discovered that the 12-year-old had conspired with another little girl from Lufkin to murder her family and pets.

According to deputies, the Lufkin girl also intended to murder her father, but decided against it.

The female planned to travel to Lufkin and then flee to Georgia with the second suspect, according to investigators.

Parker County has charged the Lufkin girl with criminal conspiracy in connection with the plotting of the murder plot.

Lufkin Police are also conducting an investigation.

Due to the injuries, the age of the children, and the sensitivity of the case, Sheriff Authier stated that information on this case will be restricted.
