VIDEO: This is the first robotic parking lot in the world

In 2013, three innovators from France started working on a robotic solution to the long-standing problem of parking space shortages. It is about the company Stanley Robotics.

Stanley Robotics’ flagship product is the Stan robot. That robot is an autonomous smart transport vehicle that can move parked vehicles from one place to another. It takes cars by hooking them to the front or the back, which allows it to store them closer together, increasing storage space while still leaving room for the driver to get in and out.

Each Stan robot is equipped with a lithium-ion battery and can be charged autonomously when needed. The robot has wheels that rotate 360 degrees and a base that allows the shape and size of the robot to be changed to adapt to the size of the vehicle.

Each robot is equipped with sensors and obstacle detection systems, which help it to navigate very densely parked vehicles.
