Very mild on Monday; Probably rain on Tuesday

Couldn’t wish for better weather on Monday. The clouds we saw on Sunday are gone and we are waking up to wall-to-wall sunshine on Monday morning. The sun lasts all day and the temperatures will be very hot. We expect highs in the 50s and 60s, near 61° in Lincoln.

The sun and the 60s won’t stay though, as the clouds close in and scattered rain approaches during Monday night. Tuesday morning is going to be a very balmy start, with morning lows perhaps in the 90s to 90s.

While the rain should be light initially, it becomes a bit more prevalent as Tuesday morning progresses. We recommend that you bring your rain gear with you on Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, temperatures will drop a bit as well.

Some Stormcast releases suggested just a few tenths of an inch of rain Tuesday, others suggested half an inch to three-quarters of an inch. There is the potential to see a healthy dose of rain so hopefully you can see it come to fruition.

The chances of rain start to decrease on Tuesday evening and we will dry out for a while. By Wednesday afternoon or evening, the chances of precipitation once again increase with another system arriving from the west. This time we will be cold enough for snow. Some of the snow may persist through Thursday.

Of course, there are still a few days left. We still have some time to work out the finer details, but it’s something we’re keeping an eye on.
