Until August 1, Omaha and Council Bluffs area middle and high school students can submit artwork in the Wheel Appeal contest
Students have the opportunity to have their artwork displayed on an Omaha buses thanks to a new Metro Omaha competition.
Middle and high school students in the Omaha and Council Bluffs region have until August 1 to enter artwork in the Wheel Appeal competition. According to Metro Omaha, two winning designs will be chosen to display on Omaha buses.
Students who were in school or were homeschooled during the academic year 2021–22 are eligible to enter the competition. According to the press release, a committee made up of Metro Omaha employees and members of the community will select one winner for students in middle school and one winner for students in high school.
The artwork that students submit must be their own unique work and can be either hand-drawn or digitized. A maximum of one entry per student may be submitted through email to [email protected] with the subject “Wheel Appeal Contest,” by mail to the Metro office at 2222 Cuming St., or in person. Entry deadline is August 1 at 4 p.m.
The winners’ work will be displayed on a bus for up to a year after being notified by August 31.
