Two teenagers were stabbed on a basketball court in New York early in the morning
Police said two teenagers were stabbed on a basketball court in East Harlem on Thursday afternoon.
Violence erupted just after 1:30 p.m. at the White Playground on East 106th Street near Lexington Avenue, according to police.
According to police, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the back, and a 13-year-old in the shoulder. Both were taken to Mount Sinai, where they are expected to survive, police said.
The group of about 10 children fled after the incident, police said.
It was unclear what caused the stabbing.
