Two people were injured in an overnight crash on Tuesday at 370 and 126th Street.

SARPI COUNTY, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision on Highway 370 and 126th Street Tuesday evening.

Here’s what we know:

Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office employees, along with the Papillion Police Department, the Papillion Fire Department, and the Omaha Fire and Rescue Department, were sent to Route 370 West and 126th Street for a personal injury accident at 8:14 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office.

At 8:12 p.m., the Sarpi County Communications Department received a call to 911, authorities said the pickup truck was driving in the wrong direction on Highway 370 on Highway 50 before the accident.

The sheriff’s office said on arrival it was determined that the pickup truck, a 2012 Chevy Colorado with one passenger, was traveling east on the west lanes of Highway 370 and collided head-on with a 2015 Infinity Q50 with one passenger who was traveling in westbound on Highway 370. .

Both drivers were taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.

This accident is still being investigated by the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office Accident Response Unit.
