Two males were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of breaking into an elderly woman’s home in Collin County, tying her hands, and stealing her possessions.
According to a press release from the City of Murphy, officers were dispatched around 11:10 a.m. in response to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked behind a residence in the 200 block of Starlite Drive.
Two guys wearing masks and carrying items were observed fleeing the residence through the back garage entrance by responding officers.
After arresting the males, the cops entered the residence and discovered an elderly woman with her hands bound behind her back. She told the authorities that two guys entered into her home, tied her up, and then ransacked her residence in search of stuff to steal, according to the release.
Police detained the men, identified as Jorge Morales, 36, of Sachse, and Albert Silva, 27, of Royce City, on counts of burglary and unlawful restraint. They were incarcerated at the Wylie Jail.
