Two people dead in Central Florida plane crash on Saturday in a wooded area between Citra and Orange Springs in Marion County

Central Florida – The two people on a small plane were both killed when it went down in a densely wooded region of central Florida on Sunday, according to the officials who responded to the scene.

According to a statement made by the sheriff’s office on Facebook, the plane went down in a forested region in Marion County just after midnight on Saturday. The area is located between Citra and Orange Springs.

Deputies reported that in order to get to the collision scene, they needed assistance from the special operations unit of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. This was due to the fact that the crash occurred in a remote area.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Federal Aviation Administration was contacted, and their investigators planned to check into the crash after receiving the notification.
