Two people dead after a crash in Morrill County

SCOTTSBLUFF, Nebraska – Tuesday afternoon, two Lincoln residents were killed in an accident in Morrill County.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a Subaru Forester was traveling westbound on Link 62A in Morrill County shortly after 12 p.m. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, the Forester passed a westbound tractor-trailer and then attempted to turn left. The semi was unable to stop and collided with the Forester’s rear bumper.

The two Forester occupants, Joyce Glaesemann, 74, and William Glaesemann, 75, both of Lincoln, perished as a result of the collision. Victor Hernandez, 46, of New Mexico, was carried to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The crash is still being investigated. The Morrill County Sheriff’s Office, Morrill County EMS, Bayard Fire Department, Bridgeport Fire Department, NDOT, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration all responded to the accident.
