Two Kansas men arrested after shooting gun from car in Gage County, sheriff’s office says
LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) — Gage County Deputies arrested two Kansas men Saturday after a gun was fired from a car in Wymore, the sheriff’s office says.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies were sent to Wymore about a report of someone firing a gun from a car near 11th and G Streets.
After speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance video, deputies were able to identify two vehicles involved, according to the sheriff’s office.
Later, sheriff’s deputies and the police chief of Wymore, who was off duty at the time, stopped the cars.
Following an investigation, Brentyn Swearingen, 24, and Zaide Swearingen, 20, were arrested on a “litany of charges,” the sheriff’s office says.
Both were arrested on charges of drug possession, carrying a concealed weapon, making terrorist threats, and various other charges.
An investigation is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
