TikTok has confirmed that it is testing paid subscription support. This way, the creators of the popular platform will be able to charge for the content they publish.
The company has not released any details on when the feature might be available, how many developers are testing it or what the subscription structure might look like.
If the feature is accepted, it would be another TikTok move to help creators monetize the content they create.
TikTok previously introduced its “Creator Next hub” with monetization tools, and in December last year made it possible to leave tips to creators.
TikTok’s announcement comes shortly after Instagram announced it was testing a subscription payment option for a smaller number of creators and influencers.
