Thursday morning fire in Ralston completely destroys home, no injuries reported

Omaha, Nebraska – Thursday morning fire in Ralston completely destroyed a vacant house, Ralston Fire Department Chief confirmed earlier today.

According to the incident report, fire crews with the Ralston Fire Department, Omaha Fire Department and Papillon Fire were dispatched at the scene on 85th and Monroe streets around 9 a.m. about house fire.

When they arrived at the scene, the house was in flames with heavy smoke coming from the inside.

Responding crews managed to put the fire under control in around 20 minutes, but the house ended up to be completely damaged.

Ralston Fire Chief Kevin Eischeid added that while the crews were extinguishing the fire, the owner of the house arrived at the scene and she informed them there were no people or pets inside the house.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
