Thursday forecast: coldest day of the week again
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) – The situation will continue again this week as Thursday is likely to be the coldest day of the week for much of the region. On Thursday in some places rain and snow are possible. Above average temperatures are forecast for much of Nebraska and Northern Kansas on Friday and this weekend.
The storm system will move across the region from Thursday to Friday. It looks like it will stay mostly south of us, but far enough north that it will rain and snow in Southern Nebraska (south of Interstate 80) and northern Kansas. The amount of snowfall appears to be low, with a small footprint of up to 1″ possible in places where it occurs, but higher amounts of snow may occur in some places. Rainfall from the trail to 0.10″, maybe 0.25″ is possible for those who see rain. The wind should be east-north-east at a speed of 5 to 15 m/s. The southeastern half of the region will be colder than Wednesday.
