The winds will blow again on another mild and sunny day

HASTINGS, Neb. (Nebraska) – We will enjoy a sunny day throughout the area, but winds will be blustery from the northwest. Winds of 15 to 25 mph will be common with some gusts up to about 35 mph. Temperatures will be a little cooler than yesterday, but still quite mild. Highs will range from the upper 30° in the north to about 60° in northern Kansas. Late in the day, a weak cold front will dive south through the area, which could lead to a slight dip in mid to late afternoon temperatures. During the night, we will see increasing clouds as the lighter northerly winds move further east. Temperatures will drop back into the upper 20s to 20s for overnight lows. Tomorrow will be a little cooler for everyone. The colder temperatures up north will come with more clouds and a slight chance of light snow. There should be a little more sun in the south. Tuesday’s highs will range from the mid-30s in the north to the mid-50s in the south. Another light storm Tuesday night will bring a slight chance of light rain or spray around the Tri-Cities. There may be some continuing light snow in Northern Nebraska. Winds will get blustery overnight westerly 15-25 mph with some gusts up to 35 mph. Those winds will drop on Wednesday. Look for a partially sunny day with some cooling. Wednesday’s highs will range from the lower 30° in the north to nearly 50° southeast.

Wednesday night through Thursday, there will be a slight chance of snow, favoring northern Kansas over southeast Nebraska. It will be a cold and windy day with highs mostly in the 30s. So milder temperatures will return to end the week and go into the weekend. We will mainly see 40s on Friday and Saturday. We’ll see more 50s on Sunday. Many may be mild again on Monday, but another blast of cooler air will begin to roll in from the north. The signs are that it will get colder again after that.
