The U.S. Postal Service announced new stamps, the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge to be featured on a stamp
OMAHA, Nebraska – The Bob will soon have its own own postage stamp.
The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, which is a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike, will be featured on one of a set of four first-class bulk mail postage stamps that will be issued by the United States Postal Service and depict bridges from across the country.
Other bridges that will be commemorated on stamps in this series include the Arrigoni Bridge in Middletown, Connecticut; the Skydance Bridge in Oklahoma City; and the Iowa-Illinois Memorial Bridge in Bettendorf, Iowa, and Moline, Illinois. These stamps can be purchased in coils of either 3,000 or 10,000 stamps.
The United States Postal Service (USPS) made the announcement regarding the stamps in its most recent release of 2023 stamps, which include a tribute to the late Congressman John Lewis, the artist who illustrated the famous children’s book “Strega Nona,” microorganisms, and a variety of other topics.
Stamps honoring the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and author Toni Morrison, pop artist Roy Lichtenstein, women’s soccer, railroad stations from around the country, endangered species and waterfalls, school buses, and more are scheduled to be released in the following year. These stamps were previously announced.
