The Omaha Police Department is investigating the shooting at 24th and Leavenworth Streets.
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Omaha police are investigating a shooting near an All Nations grocery store near 24th Street and Leavenworth Street that left one person seriously injured. It happened on a Wednesday afternoon after an altercation between the two men. Several shots were fired. The man, who was not injured, fled on foot.
Police believe the suspect is a resident of Jackson Towers, where police are present in connection with the investigation. The OPD is currently patrolling the area.
