The Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission released the October monthly gaming tax revenue report on Monday

 

On Monday, the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission published the monthly gaming tax revenue report for the month of October. The report was made available in Lincoln, Nebraska.

This information provided a break down of the total amount of tax revenue collected in Nebraska from gaming as well as the total amount of tax revenue collected. This is the first report that the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission has produced that includes data on gaming taxes for an entire month. The report covers the period from [start date] to [end date].

According to the Executive Director of Nebraska Racing and Gaming, Tom Sage, “the October gaming tax revenue report provides a more complete picture of gaming tax revenue generated over a full four-week period.” This information is essential to helping us estimate the amount of future tax revenue that will be generated from other gaming projects located throughout the state of Nebraska.

October 2022:

  • Total gaming tax revenue: $854,077.44
  • 70% to the Nebraska Property Tax Relief Fund: $597.854.20
  • 2.5% to the Nebraska General Fund: $21,351.94
  • 2.5% to the Compulsive Gaming Assistance Fund: $21,351.94
  • 12.5% to the City of Lincoln: $106,759.68
  • 12.5% to Lancaster County: $106,759.68

The monthly gaming tax revenue report will be available by the 20th day of each following month.
