The Greeley County Wind Farm proposal has been put on hold
GREELEY, Neb. (Nebraska) — The Greeley County courtroom was packed Tuesday as residents gathered to hear a proposal for a wind farm just west of Greeley.
Representatives from NextEra Energy, the company behind the proposal, spoke about the benefits the farm would have for the county.
Subsequently, residents both for and against the proposal cast their two cents, before county commissioners.
The wind farm proposal would see 41 sites, with 3 alternate sites, erected 3 miles west of Greeley, with funds flowing back into the county through road infrastructure, tax revenues, and funding for Cedar Valley schools.
The commissioners agreed to present the motion until the next meeting on March 28.
