The ex Omaha cop that was arrested for robbery this week appeared in court Friday, bond set at $50,000

OMAHA, Nebraska – Former Omaha police officer charged with robbery made her initial court appearance on Friday.

The bond imposed for Wendy Redding by the judge is $50,000.

At 90th and Dodge, a lady claims Redding attempted to strike her with her pickup. The lady reportedly claims that Redding dragged her from the SUV she was driving and fled in it.

According to court filings, the SUV belonged to Redding’s ex-boyfriend, who granted her permission to operate it.

The charge against Redding is one count of robbery.

We know she was fired from the Omaha police department in 2016 after 22 years of service, but we are still attempting to determine why.
