FRISCO, Texas – The city of Frisco is preparing to host its first Pride celebration for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Pride Frisco is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe and empowering environment for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies in the city. In addition, they connect individuals to positive and affirming resources, education, and support.
Residents of Frisco have determined that it is time for their community to host a Pride festival after witnessing Dallas’s for the past 50 years.
“It is critical that all members of our community, regardless of where they reside, have access to vital services, information, support, and love. Since 1972, there have been Pride festivities in Dallas, but never in Frisco. This year, we will change that,” said board member John Culpepper.
