The BMX track will open in spring 2024
NORTH PATTE, Neb. (Nebraska) – North Platte continues to make the city more recreationally friendly with the addition of the 308 BMX. 308 BMX is in phase two as they have achieved a unanimous decision to build their own track which will be USABMX certified in the city. They have about 6 acres of land to build the track, bleachers and adequate parking, among other things, and they plan to build the approximately 40,000 square foot pump track.
308 BMX founder Brandon McCook said: “Bringing the kids here will be beneficial because it will get them away from those electronics and back into something healthy and active, and also give them group activity even though it’s a sport.” solo and you’re not necessarily racing as a team.It will still get them out there and they can make new friends and new friendships.
With the City of North Platte looking to grow its population with Sustainable Beef, the Railpark and Rec Center renovation, the BMX track fits perfectly into the city’s plan to help rebuild North Platte’s population.
