Texas Judicial Candidates Discuss Platform

Tarrant County, Texas – Candidates for Tarrant County Judge are currently working the phones, attending events, and delivering their respective messages with a little over a month and a half left until the election. Tim O’Hare is the nominee for the Republican Party, while Deborah Peoples is the candidate representing the Democratic Party.

O’Hare added, “You won’t find anybody running for office anyplace working as hard as I am right now.” He was referring to the current election cycle.

Attorney O’Hare has held the positions of Mayor of Farmers Branch and Chairman of the Republican Party of Tarrant County during his time in public office.

“We are going to be strong on law enforcement, and we are going to make sure that no one ever has to move out of Tarrant county, anywhere in our county, because property taxes are too high or crime is too high,” said O’Hare. “We are going to make sure that no one ever has to move out of Tarrant county, anywhere in our county because property taxes are too high or crime is too high.”

O’Hare also places a high priority on attracting new companies and developing new employment opportunities. He stated that he had a good time carrying out those responsibilities as mayor and is eager to take on the role of judge.

Deborah Peoples, a candidate for the Democratic party, stated that residents are looking for someone who will lead for the entirety of the county.

Peoples stated, “I am listening to what people say, and that is what we are going to do when I am elected,” and “I am listening to what people say.”

Peoples claimed she is a combination of corporate and community. Both for AT&T, where she worked as a vice president, and for the Tarrant County Democratic Party, where she served as chairwoman.

“We are having dialogues about what is important to you as a voter, and some of the topics we are discussing include things like economic growth. People are looking for satisfying work. They desire to be able to provide for their loved ones in some way. They desire things such as well-developed infrastructure, according to Peoples.

Peoples continued by saying that education should be a top concern.

Since Republican Judge Glen Whitley declared his intention to retire, Tarrant County will have a new judge for the first time in more than a decade.
