Teenager in custody after Omaha police find 16-year-old killed in car

LINCOLN, Neb. (Nebraska) – A teenager is behind bars after police said they shot a 16-year-old boy on Wednesday night.

Omaha police were called to the area of ​​132nd and Center Streets just after 9:00 p.m. and found a teenager who had been shot.

He was taken to an Omaha hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive, police say.

Police determined that the teenager was shot while sitting in a vehicle.

Detectives reached a 16-year-old suspect at his home and arrested him.

He is charged with assault in the first degree, use of a felony weapon, illegal carrying of a weapon and attempted robbery.
