Teenager became a target of a sexual assault inside a Glendale donut shop, saved by total strangers

GLENDALE, California – A young boy, aged 13, was the victim of a sexual assault that took place inside a doughnut shop in Glendale, and according to the police, the assistance of two good Samaritans was eventually what led them to the perpetrator.

On August 31, the youngster was reportedly present at a doughnut store in the 600 block of West Glenoaks Boulevard with his mother and sibling. This information comes from the Glendale Police Department.

The mother, together with her two youngsters, can be seen on surveillance video taken inside the store placing their food orders at the counter.

The defendant, identified as Farid Lalezarzadeh, 36, of Glendale, was reported to have walked up behind the youngster as his family was paying and pinched him on the buttocks, according to the police. Lalezarzadeh was arrested.

According to the authorities, a man who witnessed the occurrence instantly intervened to safeguard the child from further harm.

According to a statement released by the police, “the witness and his friend approached the suspect, who then swiftly departed the scene.”

In the end, Lalezarzadeh was taken into custody for allegedly engaging in indecent and lascivious actions with a minor younger than 14.

While everything is going on, the investigators are trying to get in contact with the two guys who helped safeguard the youngster because, as they put it, “their witness testimony are important to the successful prosecution of the defendant.”
