Teen shot dead outside NYC high school leading to lockdown

Police said a teenager was shot and killed outside a Manhattan high school on Tuesday morning, leading to a lockdown.

The shooting happened around 10 a.m. at Martin Luther King High School on the Upper West Side, police said.

The teenager was taken to a local hospital in a stable condition.

The school and neighboring LaGuardia High School were closed, according to police sources.

The injured child may have collided with the MLK after being shot at, the sources said.

One person was in custody.
