Suspect rammed two Council Bluffs police cars outside the casino

COUNCIL BLuffs, Iowa (Nebraska) — According to a report from the Council Bluffs Police Department, two Council Bluffs police vehicles rammed into the parking lot of the Horseshoe Casino on Tuesday.

The officer found the stolen car in the Horseshoe garage. Police say Jerrod Altevogt, 38, was in the car.

Altevogt allegedly used the vehicle several times to ram a CBPD cruiser and attempted to flee. There was a second officer nearby to help. Their cruiser also rammed several times.

CBPD reports that Altevogt eventually crashed in the garage and was arrested. He was charged with assault on an officer, criminal hooliganism and other charges.

None of the officers were seriously injured.
