Study shows clear link between physical activity and women’s memory, among many other health benefits
Everyone knows that physical activity has many positive aspects. Interestingly, one of them is the usefulness for memory.
Physical load helps to increase the memory capacity of women. Researchers from the University of New South Wales came to this conclusion.
265 volunteers participated in four experiments. Three out of four participants remembered the men’s names and their photos. Then, some of the participants were engaged in 5 minutes of aerobics, but without much effort. The rest did nothing at that time.
Research has shown that women who practice aerobics remember the information received better than those who did no exercise. Physical activity, however, failed to affect the men’s ability to remember. For now, scientists have no answer as to why.
