Southern Nebraska School Cancels Monday Classes Due to Threat
LINCOLN, Nebraska (Nebraska) – Thayer Central Public Schools was closed Monday as a precautionary measure due to the threat.
Thayer Central Administration said they received threats against the school on Friday afternoon. Shortly thereafter, the administration contacted Thayer County law enforcement to help investigate the threat. Thayer County law enforcement contacted the Nebraska State Patrol for support in resolving the situation.
Nebraska State Patrolmen were at the school investigating on Monday. Thayer County law enforcement will also have a larger presence in and around the school until this issue is resolved, the school said.
