Shots fired in the area prompted Carrollton police to temporary close nearby schools
CARROLLTON, Texas – After reports of gunfire in the neighborhood, Carrollton police shut down portions of Josey Lane and adjacent schools went into a “secure hold” for almost an hour.
Shots were reportedly heard in the vicinity of Josey Lane and Tartan Drive.
The bullets were fired as a consequence of a disturbance that began at the Burger King on Josey Lane, according to the police.
No victim has come forward, and the police continue to look for the shooter.
A weapon was discovered in the region.
All school holds were lifted soon before 3 p.m.
