Several roads in Omaha affected by upcoming closures and restrictions
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Several upcoming street closures and traffic restrictions have been announced, one of which is related to a long-term street widening project.
According to Omaha Public Works, all of the following closures and restrictions will begin this Monday, March 20 at 9:00 AM.
Douglas Street will be closed between 44th Street and Saddle Creek Street for one month due to utility work.
The intersection of North 20th and Lake Street will be closed due to combined sewer flow (CSO) for one month.
At the intersection of North 10th Street and Capitol Avenue, a lane restriction will be implemented for one week to install fiber.
Drivers in western Omaha will be affected by a lengthy construction project. South 168th Street between Q Street and West Center Road will have lane restrictions for the street widening until December 2024.
On South 64th Avenue between Center Street and Francis Street, northbound traffic will be moved to the center lane for building construction for one week.
South 90th Street will be limited to one southbound lane at Arbor Street for engineering work on the outer curb for one month.
On Maple Street, westbound traffic will be moved to the center lane at North 70th Street for one week of street repairs.
