Omaha, NE – The first day of the new year was almost fatal for three people who got injured in early morning house fire.
According to multiple reports, three people were seriously injured and hospitalized in the house fire that took place at 5410 S 29th Ave.
Omaha Fire Department (OFD) crews were dispatched at the scene around 6:30 a.m. The firefighters put the fire under control in less than 5 minutes after arrival at the scene.
According to the incident report, three people, two minors and one adult, were found inside the house and were rescued. However, all of them suffered serious injuries as a result of the fire. They were transferred to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No firefighters were injured in the incident.
