Samsung announces even faster phone updates in Europe

Samsung has taken the first step, it’s time for other manufacturers to start this practice.

Gone are the days when Samsung offered bad software support for its smartphones, because this company is a leader in the field of software upgrades in the Android world for 2-3 years. Of course, there is always room for improvement, and now Samsung is taking another step forward in that regard.

Namely, according to the latest report coming from the Galaxy Club, Android phone users in Europe should receive updates even faster in the future, reported.

Namely, Galaxy Club reports that Samsung is developing firmware with a unique code classification (CSC) for all its upcoming phones in Europe. The EUX identifier is already present on the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy A52, as well as on the flexible Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, which will be the case for most Samsung phones that will be introduced in Europe by the end of this year.

In translation, this means that in the future Samsung could start sending updates to all devices in Europe from the very beginning, without any prior updates, e.g. on the Galaxy S21 series, then on the Galaxy A72, etc. This is a very big move by Samsung, which will surely attract more buyers of Galaxy phones.

Galaxy Club reports that the Galaxy S22, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A13 series will be released with a single EUX identifier, and it is almost certain that the Samsung Galaxy A73, Galaxy A43 and others will have the same identifier.

As a reminder, Samsung was the first in the Android world to implement three major Android updates and four years of security updates, while the leading devices have up to five years of security updates.

Samsung implemented this at the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series in 2020, and soon after all the leading manufacturers of Android phones began to follow this practice. Samsung has gone a step further, others are on the move.
