Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary and announced that they are expecting their fourth child. The couple, which is considered one of the most famous couples in Hollywood, met in 2010 on the set of the movie “Green Lantern”. Although the film was a real disaster and a financially unprofitable project, he still managed to bring them together. At first they only felt sympathy and affection for each other, but there was nothing more than friendship between them. At that time, the actor was newly divorced from Scarlett Johansson, while Blake had just separated from Penn Badgley, with whom he starred in the hit series “Gossip Girl”.
They saw each other a year later on a double date, where both had different partners.
“We were on a double date, I was with a girl and Blake was with another man. But the evening did not end as they planned, it seemed rather strange to them because there were sparks between us. It was a really weird first date for all of us,” Ryan said on one occasion.
He added that they were at a small restaurant in Tribeca that was open very late. When a song started, he asked her if she wanted to dance with him. There was no one on the street where they were standing.
“It was one of those moments where you know you’ve ‘crossed the line’ and after that I went to her,” he said.
As he later recounted, Blake had a date in Boston, just like him, so he suggested they travel together.
“We were on the train together and I begged her to sleep with me,” Ryan said, adding that he won her over by using tears.
“I squeezed my eyes hard to let the tears run down my face and then I told her a sad story about my life.
However, he eventually managed to woo Blake and secretly marry her in South Carolina on September 9, 2012.
Two years later, on December 16, 2014, they welcomed their first child, daughter James, and on September 30, 2016, they welcomed Inez. The couple rarely publicize information about their private lives, so the public was shocked when Ryan arrived at the premiere of his movie “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” (eng. Pokémon Detective Pikachu) with Blake in a tight yellow dress that showed off her pregnant belly. Reynolds confirmed that the actress gave birth just two weeks after the rumours, but have yet to reveal the baby’s gender and name.
He confirmed the arrival of the first child with a photo, in which he and Blake are holding the baby in their arms and hugging in the forest, and the description under the post revealed that the third daughter has also arrived. They revealed her name with Taylor Swift’s song – Betty.
On one occasion, Blake revealed to “Venity Fair” that he gets up at five in the morning, so he manages to balance business and personal relationships.
“Do the training during the day, but not alone,” she said.
Blake added that her daughters don’t give her a minute of rest, so they also participate in the exercises. She “uses” them as weights because, she says, they hang on to her.
Both are lovers of good humor and small tricks that they prepare for each other to keep their passion alive. The actor is known for his humorous posts on Instagram, including the one where he congratulated her on her birthday. In the photo, he looks perfect, while she is caught off guard.
He also wishes her a happy Mother’s Day last year, praising her love and care for their large family.
“Words cannot describe. You are the heart and soul of every moment of our family. I am grateful for the goodness you radiate in every second of our lives. I see that love in the eyes of our children. Every laugh, every blink and every moment of vulnerability. That courage required for motherhood in this year 2021 is an act of sheer strength and heroism. I could never have imagined that unplanned sex in an airport toilet would lead to this. Either way, I’m happy to reflect at least a little of the sunlight that shines on us all.”
On one occasion, Blake talked about their marriage in an interview with Vogue.
“Everything we do in life, we do together. If I’m shooting a movie, it helps me enjoy the character, and I do the same when he’s shooting. Together we choose the furniture, what we will eat. He is also a wonderful writer who has written wonderful things just for us. And best of all, he knows me so well that he tells me every time I’m not doing something right.”
