Rock N’ Paws organizes the Reading PAWtners group to help teach children to read
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (Nebraska) – Every other Saturday, Rock N’ Paws hosts the Reading PAWtners group to help teach kids how to read in a stress- and judgment-free environment.
The group started hosting the events because they wanted to try and give kids a new way to learn to read.
They meet at the North Platte Public Library every Saturday.
Sue Perez, a member of the group, told Nebraska that she has noticed that the children who come often learn to read quickly.
Perez also stressed how important it is to have an environment where children aren’t worried about being judged or teased for saying a wrong word, and he hopes this event can provide that for children.
