Recent study reveals which Halloween candy is the most popular among Chicago residents
Chicago, Illinois – A little more than a month until Halloween, many families will soon be stocking up on candy in preparation for trick-or-treaters by making their way to the section of the store devoted to such goods.
The results of a recent study of 1,000 people in the United States that was carried out by Byte to determine which candies are the most popular in each state found that Illinois was the only state to choose their option.
The residents of the Prairie State picked Tootsie Rolls as their favorite candy, putting Illinois in a category all by itself with the time-honored chocolate confection as their top choice.
Six other states, including Illinois’ neighbor Wisconsin, have chosen candy corn as the best pleasure that Halloween has to offer. This is despite the fact that many people view candy corn as a divisive confection.
Nerds were chosen as the most popular candy in a nationwide poll, with voters in seven states selecting the miniature candies as their top pick. California and Missouri were two of those states.
However, Illinois was not the only state that enjoyed a one-of-a-kind confection. The neighboring state of Indiana exhibits an October craving for Butterfingers, whilst Alaska, Nebraska, and North Carolina were the only states to chose Three Musketeers, Skittles, and Milk Duds correspondingly.
