Pregnant woman hit by stray bullet while walking down New York street
The pregnant woman was shot in the leg by a stray bullet while walking down a street in the Bronx on Monday night, police sources said.
The 35-year-old woman, who is eight months pregnant, was shot in her left calf around 7:40 p.m. in the Great Hall near East 192nd Street on the Fordham estate, according to authorities and sources.
She was not the target of the shooter, police said.


She was taken to St Barnabas Hospital in a stable condition, authorities said.
The motive for the shooting and the actual purpose of the shooting were not immediately known.
There was no information about the suspect.
