Police say woman shot several times in New York
Police said a woman was shot several times in the Bronx Saturday night.
Police responded to reports of shootings at Cedar Avenue and Sedgwick Avenue in Morris Heights around 5:30 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a woman with gunshot wounds to her leg and thigh, police said.
She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she is expected to recover, according to police.
No arrests were made. Police described the suspect as a man in his 20s.
