Police identify suspect arrested in Omaha area stalking and car theft
OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Police have identified a man accused of running away from a bus stop and stealing a van.
On Friday, February 10, at approximately 9:30 am, an Omaha ABLE-1 police helicopter reported that they were in pursuit of a Honda that had fled Council Bluffs for Omaha.
The Honda allegedly drove up and down Abbott Drive recklessly until an Omaha police officer was able to deploy the brake lights.
When the Honda broke down in front of the Hampton Inn on Abbott Drive 2020, the suspect got out of the Honda, allegedly stole a white van and fled again. Then the Carter Lake police intervened.
The pursuit continued until the suspect got out of the van and allegedly tried to escape in another vehicle allegedly driven by the suspect’s brother.
The suspect surrendered without further incident. The van continued to move and drove into a house located near 72nd Street and Ontario Street.
Police identified the suspect as Miranda Grady, 33. He faces numerous charges.
