PHOTOS: Omaha police release bodycam footage of fatal warehouse shooting

OMAHA, Nebraska (Nebraska) — Omaha police on Wednesday released four body-camera images of a man involved in a deadly shootout with officers in a warehouse Monday night.

OPD body camera images show footage of officers meeting 38-year-old Stephen Doken of Council Bluffs before he was shot dead.

“The footage shows officers first making contact with Mr. Doken, he runs away from the officers, and then Mr. Doken lies on the floor after falling shortly before a physical altercation with the officers,” the OPD said in a press release.

The case will be heard by a grand jury under Nebraska law.

Doken was wanted on two court orders: one for non-appearance due to violation of a probation hearing on October 6; and for failing to appear at a pre-trial hearing in a case where he was accused of disturbing the peace and obstructing the peace officer.
